IPS e.max Ceram Art Shade pastes are ready-to-use materials for adjusting the basic shade of restorations. They allow you to adjust the overall tooth shade before adding characterizations. They are used for both monolithic and ceramic-veneered restorations.
Their uses include:
- Definition of the main color of the tooth.
- Correction of color differences between the restoration and the VITA shade guide.
- Use as a base before applying Illusion or Essence effects.
- Providing brightness and incisal depth (Incisal Shade).
They are compatible with zirconia, lithium disilicate, glass ceramics and veneering ceramics.
Shade Dentin reproduces the base dentin and its saturation level. They are used to establish the "true" color of the restoration before adding texture or enamel effects.
Shade Dentin 1
Very light, bleach-like color. For bright restorations or high-value aesthetic cases.
Shade Dentin 2:
Standard warm color. Very versatile; it is usually the most commonly used in clinical practice.
Shade Dentin 3:
A more yellowish shade. Used on natural dentitions with a more pronounced chroma.
Shade Dentin 4:
A cooler, slightly grayish shade. Suitable for patients with cool undertones.
Shade Dentin 5 : A more saturated shade with gray-brown undertones. Ideal for imitating dark or mature dentin.
These materials offer stable color and allow for saturation adjustment without the need for thick layers. If greater intensity is needed, the firing process is repeated.
Shade Incisal does not provide a base color, but rather an optical effect. Its function is to give the incisal edge a natural appearance through translucency and value control.
Shade Incisal 1:
Provides clarity and brightness incisal edges. For youthful, bright, and slightly glassy edges.
Shade Incisal 2:
It provides greater translucency and a slightly lower value. Perfect for natural-looking restorations in adults.
These materials allow you to smooth the dentin-incisal transition and create a glassy appearance without the need to build up the enamel.
