IPS e.max Ceram Art Illusion Gingiva pastes are designed to realistically reproduce different gingival phenotypes, color variations, and anatomical details of the soft tissue. They do not require additional glazing because they are self-glazing and are designed to create natural gingival aesthetics in hybrid restorations, implants, bridges with pontics, or restorations where the artificial gingiva must visually integrate with the patient's gums.
Their uses include:
- Creation of the chromatic base of the artificial gum.
- Reproduction of pink, reddish, purple or orange tones depending on the phenotype.
- Simulation of internal structures such as underlying bone, vasculature, and fibers.
- Definition of the gingival margins and interdental papillae.
- Adds vitality, depth and a natural appearance to restorations with visible gingival areas.
ILLUSION GINGIVA BASE
Base Rose: light pink shade, ideal for delicate gum phenotypes and light gums.
Base Pink: Medium pink, the most versatile and natural. Suitable for most patients.
Orange-Pink Base: Warm pink with orange undertones. For more saturated gums or those with warm, yellowish tones.
The bases make up the majority of the gum volume and act as the main color on which the effects are added.
ILLUSION GINGIVA MAUVE (purple effect)
Soft Mauve: A pale purple hue. Used in areas of thin alveolar mucosa or to provide subtle depth in red-purple phenotypes.
Intense Mauve: The deepest purple. Used to simulate dark gums, areas of deep vascularity, or tissue with greater purple saturation.
ILLUSION GINGIVA BONE (underlying bone effect)
Soft Bone: A soft white-beige shade to reproduce the appearance of bone behind the attached gum. Provides optical volume in the root area.
Intense Bone: A more pronounced bone tone. Used when a more visible effect of the underlying root structure is desired or in more compact phenotypes.
ILLUSION GINGIVA CAPILLARY – FIBERS (vascularization)
Gingiva Capillary: A fine red to highlight superficial capillaries. Used on the alveolar mucosa and areas where vascularization is visible.
Gingiva Fibers: A more defined reddish hue to create thicker fibers and linear detail. Allows for the simulation of internal vascular pathways.
ILLUSION GINGIVA MARGIN (gingival margin)
Light-Margin: A light shade to define the marginal gingiva, papillae, or areas most exposed to light. Useful for pink phenotypes.
Dark-Margin: Darker shade to highlight the depth in the gingival sulcus, papillae and areas where the tissue has a natural shadow.
ILLUSION GINGIVA INTENSE RED
Intense Red: A saturated red designed for areas requiring a more reddish appearance, such as highly vascularized tissue or naturally inflammatory areas. It cannot be mixed with other shades (as directed by the manufacturer).
Final result:
The Illusion Gingiva paste set allows for the reproduction of any gingival phenotype with high accuracy. The bases establish the primary color, while the mauve, bone, margin, capillary, and fiber shades add depth, realism, and anatomical detail. The result is an artificial gingiva that mimics the transition, texture, and saturation of natural soft tissue with advanced esthetics.
