IPS e.max Ceram Art Illusion Pastes are materials designed to reproduce the natural optical effects of teeth. They do not provide a basic shade, but rather light dynamics, depth, texture, and transitions, imitating the properties of enamel and anatomical details. They are essential when a highly esthetic result is desired in monolithic restorations.
Their uses include:
- Reproduction of mamelons, opalescence, halos, light absorption effects and cervical transitions.
- Creation of three-dimensional depth without traditional layering.
- Adding vitality and naturalness to incisal edges, marginal ridges and areas of greater optical detail.
- Adjusting the value, transparency and light behavior of the restoration.
ILLUSION MAMELON
Red-Orange Mamelon: Reproduces distinctive mamelons with a warm reddish hue. Ideal for young dentition or to accentuate the internal anatomy.
Light Salmon Mamelon: A softer, more natural mamelon effect with a light salmon hue. It provides a less pronounced transition, ideal for a subtle aesthetic.
ILLUSION OPAL
Opal Light-Blue: Light blue opalescence. Used on the incisal edges to create a youthful, translucent enamel.
Opal Sky-Blue: A more visible opalescent blue shade. Adds a more vitreous effect to the incisal edge and enhances light movement.
Opal Night-Blue: Deeper blue opalescence for intense incisal edges. Reproduces very glassy, cool enamels.
ILLUSION HALO
Halo Ivory: Reproduces the classic "light incisal halo" seen on many natural incisors. Adds a bright edge with an ivory hue.
Halo Ocher: A warmer halo with an ochre hue. Ideal for patients with warm teeth or aged enamel.
ILLUSION ENAMEL
Enamel Pearl: A special enamel for enhancing the value of the incisal third and marginal ridges. It produces a "butterfly" effect and a vitreous sheen without leaving a dull finish.
ILLUSION ABSORBER
Absorbers reduce the value (brightness) in specific areas and create light absorption zones, providing natural depth.
Absorber Light-Violet: A delicate purple shade to reduce the value on the incisal and proximal surfaces, providing a natural optical effect without excessive darkening.
Absorber Fog: A neutral, delicate gray absorber. Very useful for balancing out overly bright restorations.
Absorber Quartz: A more pronounced absorption effect. Adds deep shadows to margins, proximal surfaces, or internal areas without losing translucency.
CERVICAL ILLUSION
Cervical Yellow-Pink: A warm shade between yellow and pink to reproduce the natural transition between teeth and gums. Ideal for light-colored cervical areas.
Cervical Nude: A soft, neutral shade that softens the cervical area without adding saturation. Perfect for natural-looking skin or conservative aesthetics.
Final result:
Illusion pastes allow for extremely accurate reproduction of the internal effects of enamel and dentin. They offer depth, gloss, shadows, opalescence, and transitions, resulting in a monolithic restoration with light behavior virtually identical to that of a natural tooth.
