Property:
Collagen is a fibrillar protein naturally present in all connecting tissues. Lyophilized collagen, in the form of a cylinder, achieves hemostasis thanks to its adhesion, fluid absorption, and gelation properties. The collagen cylinder molds to the hemorrhagic surface and adheres strongly when mechanical compression is applied, thus promoting the formation of the platelet plug (coagulation) and its maintenance in place. Collagen cylinders are resorbable (autolysis). Etik Collagen cylinders are individually sterile and ready for use. Diameter: approximately 10 mm, height: approximately 16 mm.

Composition:
Native, undenatured collagen of animal origin (bovine): type I collagen 80 to 90%, type III 10 to 20%.
