Resorbable porcine collagen membrane, available in a fine 25x25mm size (thickness 0.8–1.0mm). An alternative to autologous connective tissue for compatible clinical indications, it eliminates the discomfort of palatal harvesting for the patient.
Clinical Indications
- Graft protection (GBR): resorbable barrier to protect and stabilize graft materials; can be partially exposed due to excellent integration with soft tissues
- Soft tissue enhancement: alternative to connective tissue grafts to increase the band of keratinized tissue around teeth and implants
- Miller Class I and II gingival recessions: indicated for coronally advanced flap technique and tunneling technique (rounded corners)
How to use
- Can be shaped with scissors to the desired form
- Hydrate for 5 minutes in warm sterile saline solution before application
- Stabilize with a pouch suture or by preparing a pocket with a periosteal elevator
- Cover completely with the flap for gingival recession indications
