1 Pre-filtration
A filter mesh at the entrance retains large particles and allows the water to be distributed evenly over the lower layers.
2 Reduction of carbonate hardness
Cationic resins specifically remove carbonate hardness, thus preventing unwanted limescale build-up.
3 Reduction of permanent hardness
This step removes permanent hardness and non-hardening elements (cations).
4 Reduction of anions
This filtration stage removes the remaining ions (anions).
5 Fine filtration
At the end of the process a filter mesh retains the fine particles.
