Viroxid Habitat 3 IDS
Aliquota IVA applicata: 22%
Viroxid® Habitat 3 is based on existing air disinfection methods already used to purify the air in hospital operating rooms. Three successful methods have been combined into a single device suitable for smaller areas up to 100 m3.
These three methods consist of: air ionization, filtration, and disinfection using UV-C rays.
Purifying the air we breathe can no longer be considered a superfluous luxury. A growing number of microorganisms and chemical pollutants are commonly found in the air we breathe indoors, including viruses, bacteria, and mold, making it less healthy. Furthermore, smoke and pollen can also be effectively reduced.
Viroxid® Habitat 3 is a compact, complete system, ready for immediate use with simple installation and maintenance. Easy to use, elegant and effective; the perfect air purification system suitable for multiple applications.
Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) is an established means of disinfection and can be used to prevent the spread of certain infectious diseases.
Low-pressure mercury discharge lamps are commonly used in UVGI applications and emit short-wave ultraviolet C radiation, primarily at 254 nm.
UV-C radiation kills or inactivates bacteria, viruses, fungi, and other harmful microorganisms, even those resistant to other disinfecting methods, by damaging their deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA).
How it Works
Purifies the air in 3 steps...
1 - FILTRATION A quiet, high-performance fan draws air through a 3M High Air Flow Electrostatic (HAFE) hospital-grade filter into the disinfection chamber. 3M HAFE filters utilize an electrostatic charge, resulting in double the effectiveness of standard washable foam filters. This allows them to attract, capture, and retain a greater number of contaminants and particles compared to traditional filtration systems.
3M HAFE filters keep the Viroxid® Habitat 3 disinfection chamber cleaner, ensuring optimal air disinfection. Furthermore, the open channel structure of the filter offers minimal resistance to airflow, guaranteeing maximum particle removal and air circulation. 3M HAFE filters incorporate antimicrobial agents that prevent mold growth, further enhancing their performance.
Capturing airborne dust also helps maintain the efficiency of heating systems and air conditioning units.
2 - UV-C RADIATION
The air is then treated with UV-C radiation using the special Philips UV-C lamp, which generates ultraviolet radiation with a wavelength of 253.7 nm. The UV-C light destroys the DNA (cellular structure) of viruses, bacteria, mold, fungi, and other microorganisms, preventing their reproduction. This ensures up to 99.99% air disinfection in an effective and healthy way.
The special internal aluminum structure of the disinfection chamber provides further refraction of UV-C radiation, thus increasing the efficiency of UV-C radiation by up to 50%. This allows total exposure of microorganisms to the effect of UV-C radiation from all sides.
3 - IONIZATION
After UV-C treatment, the ionizer releases 8.5 million negative ions per cm³ into the treated air. Poor air quality contains many positive ions. Microorganisms spread easily through the air via positive ions, as do dust, pollen, and other pollutants. Fresh air usually contains up to 4000 ions per cm³, but this number decreases considerably in enclosed spaces, sometimes reaching values well below 50 ions per cm³.
The negative ions introduced by the Viroxid® Habitat 3 ionizer form compounds with the positive ions present. These compounds are too heavy to remain airborne and therefore precipitate, being subsequently captured by the 3M HAFE filter. The large number of negative ions produced improves the body's resistance and may even facilitate the healing process.
