Recaldent™ is derived from casein, a milk protein. It has been known for many years that milk and its derivatives have a protective effect on teeth. Research has shown that this activity is due to a part of casein called casein phosphopeptide (or CPP) which transports calcium and phosphate ions in the form of amorphous calcium phosphate (or ACP).

Tooth Mousse, the first professional product containing the CPP-ACP complex (Recaldent™), is the ideal system for delivering bioavailable calcium and phosphate ions.

The CPP-ACP molecule was developed by the School of Dental Science at the University of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Recaldent™ is a trademark used under license. Recaldent™ (CPP-ACP) is derived from milk casein. Do not use on patients with sensitivity to milk proteins and/or parabens.
