Natural aesthetics in the posterior sectors
Minimal translucency for aesthetic results or high translucency for deeper photopolymerizations?
With the single-increment composites Tetric PowerFill and Tetric PowerFlow, both can be achieved, overcoming the classic contradiction between aesthetics and efficiency.
Thanks to the highly reactive photoinitiator Ivocerin®, it has been possible to develop the aesthetic materials Tetric PowerFill and Tetric PowerFlow. Conventional composites that allow for larger increments are often very translucent. Thanks to the highly reactive photoinitiator Ivocerin, it is possible to maintain an aesthetic translucency similar to enamel and dentin and at the same time achieve reliable polymerization even in depth.
Aessencio® technology is a milestone in optimizing the aesthetics of 4 mm composites. The material's high initial translucency allows polymerization to the desired depth. During photopolymerization, the composite becomes more opaque. In the case of Tetric PowerFlow, a translucency similar to dentin, below 10%, is ultimately achieved. This allows for the masking of discolorations.
Greater treatment safety thanks to a smaller number of layers.
Tetric PowerFill and Tetric PowerFlow, thanks to their simplified application protocol, are less sensitive to processing techniques compared to conventional composites. The reason: thicknesses can be increased up to 4 mm. This means fewer work steps and also fewer risks of use.
Fewer errors thanks to reduced irradiation times.
Photopolymerization is the most frequent source of error in direct restoration therapy. Efficient curing with the shortest possible irradiation time reduces risks and increases the quality of the final restoration. All Tetric product colors have uniform irradiation times.
As efficient as conventional direct composite restorations.
Despite the increased thicknesses up to 4 mm and significantly reduced irradiation times (3 seconds with PowerCure Lamp) , Adhese Universal, Tetric PowerFill and Tetric PowerFlow achieve reduced polymerization shrinkage, excellent edge quality and minimal heat generation. Their physical characteristics repeatedly prove equivalent to those of classic composites used in the more expensive conventional incremental layering technique.
