Polyamide monofilament - high strength and high elasticity
Dafilon Bbraun is a non-absorbable, monofilament synthetic nylon suture, composed of a polyamide 6/6.6 molecule and is blue in color.
Dafilon blue sutures are indicated for closing superficial wounds, in plastic surgery and in neurosurgery.
Like all nylon sutures, although not absorbable, the suture's hydrolysis process can cause a gradual loss of strength over time.
