Disinfectant and detergent for surgical instruments based on peracetic acid (which develops from the reaction: 20% sodium percarbonate + 15% TAED activator). The granular, rather than powder, physical form eliminates dusting; the product is completely water-soluble. Bactericidal, fungicidal, and virucidal: active against HIV, HBV, and HCV. Dilutions: 2% develops 1000 ppm of peracetic acid. Also usable in ultrasonic baths.
