ReliX Luting Cement Kit 3M
Aliquota IVA applicata: 22%
RelyX™ Luting cement is a resin-modified glass ionomer cement for the routine cementation of metal and metal-ceramic crowns, bridges, inlays/onlays, all-ceramic crowns or zirconia crowns such as Lava™.
- Radiopaque
- Substantial release of fluorine
- Reduced post-operative sensitivity 2
"The typical characteristics of a glass ionomer are combined with the advantages of composite cements, such as lack of solubility and high fracture resistance…"
RelyX™ Luting Cement (initially known as Vitremer™) was first introduced to the market in 1994. The product consists of a powder and a liquid that are dispensed in a 1:1 ratio and mixed manually for 30 seconds.
The working time of the mixed cement is 2.5 minutes. The resulting mixture has a mousse-like consistency, which allows for easy application and restoration. Excess cement can be removed 2-3 minutes after application in the mouth.
RelyX™ cement has quickly gained popularity due to its ease of use, processing, and finishing, as well as its low incidence of post-operative sensitivity.
Indications:
RelyX™ Luting cement and RelyX™ Luting Plus cement are indicated for the cementation of the following types of restorations:
- Metal-ceramic bridges and crowns
- Metal crowns, inlays and onlays
- Prefabricated metal temporary crowns
- All-ceramic crowns and bridges made of zirconia or aluminum (e.g., Lava™ Zirconia by 3M™ ESPE™ or Procera® AllCeram)
- Prefabricated or cast pins
- Bands and orthodontic appliances
Technical information :
RelyX™ Luting Cement is a resin-modified glass ionomer cement that is self-curing, radiopaque, and fluoride-releasing.
RelyX™ Luting cement provides molecular adhesion to the tooth surface without the use of a separate conditioner and ensures good strength, fluoride ion release, low solubility or acid erosion of the margins, as well as a simple, technique-independent procedure.
Adhesion to the tooth structure: An advantage of glass ionomer cements is their inherent ability to ensure molecular adhesion to the tooth structure without the need for an etchant or adhesive. Although some products recommend the use of a separate conditioner on the tooth surface to promote adhesion, RelyX™ Luting cement and RelyX™ Luting Plus do not require this step.
Adhesion to restorative material substrates: In addition to adhering to the tooth structure and abutment substrates, cements must also be able to adhere to various types of restorative material substrates for which they are indicated. The main restorative material substrates indicated for modified glass ionomer cements are metal, alumina, and zirconia.
