Grandio Disc Multicolour 15mm Voco
Long-term restorations must be reliable and stable while also meeting the high aesthetic requirements of natural teeth to keep patients happy. Digital prosthetics delivers exceptional results, allowing even the smallest details to be addressed with computer assistance. For particularly aesthetic restorations, VOCO now offers Grandio disc multicolour, an expansion of the colours available for the Grandio disc nano-hybrid ceramic material. The various colour shades allow for the imitation of the natural colour gradient of teeth from the incisal edge to the cervical area, all with just three layers.
The special material composition ensures an extraordinary "chameleon effect" through light absorption and reflection, which allows the individual layers of the restoration to blend into one another, creating a highly aesthetic colour gradient. This effect also enhances the optical adaptation to adjacent teeth and the overall aesthetic appearance.
Invisible-Layer-Technology
The restorative material is divided into three layers: an incisal layer, a tooth base colour layer, and a cervical layer. The colouring of Grandio disc multicolour makes the restoration appear very vibrant, an effect achieved with just these three layers thanks to the material's characteristics (Invisible-Layer-Technology). For the colouring of Grandio disc multicolour, the goal was to remain within the initial colour family (e.g., A1 HT, A2 HT) of Grandio disc (monochromatic), so that all products can be combined with each other. The suitable colour was determined based on the VITA shade guide: Grandio disc multicolour is available in six shades: A1, A2, A3, A3.5, B1, and C2. The middle layer (tooth base colour) is the determining colour. Restorations made with Grandio disc multicolour imitate the natural colour gradient of the tooth from the incisal edge to the tooth neck, even without customization.
Grandio disc multicolour has a thickness of 15 mm and a diameter of 98 mm, just like the monochromatic material. It is indicated for the creation of single-tooth restorations such as crowns, inlays, onlays, veneers, and implant-supported crowns.
About Grandio disc
Cured Grandio blocs/discs products set new standards with far above-average strength: with 86% filler, the material has the highest filler content in its class. The biaxial flexural strength also reaches values otherwise only found in silicate ceramics, although Grandio blocs/disc is considerably more antagonist-friendly.
This material allows for very fine milling and extremely easy polishing, ensuring that the restoration fits perfectly and meets high aesthetic requirements. With Grandio blocs/disc, it is possible to create very thin-walled restorations without sacrificing stability, e.g., veneers that also protect the tooth structure.
