The mission of Dentaflux copal varnish is to protect the pulpal dentin tissue:
1. Acting as a barrier to the movement of irritating substances through the dentinal tubules, such as those produced by acids and polymers.
2. Temporary barrier to reduce moisture loss on the inside and outside surface of fillings.
3. Protector of calcium hydroxide-based cements during acid etching procedures.
4. Helps with marginal sealing in amalgam fillings.
