Electron microscopy allowed verification of the formation of the hybrid layer, fundamental for bonding with dentin. The same study estimated the hybrid layer thickness at 10 microns, a value already low, and even lower than 50 microns in the dentinal tubules, guaranteeing not only a high level of sealing but also a secure closure of the tubules themselves.
