The composite materials were modeled into blocks and carefully polymerized.

• The surfaces were wet polished with a Beuhler variable speed polishing system.
• They were stored in water at 37ºC for 24 hours.
• The gloss was then evaluated.

The samples were brushed with toothpaste and a toothbrush

• The toothbrush was mounted on the automatic brushing device.
• Gloss measurements were performed after 500 cycles and every 1000 cycles.
• The test ended after 6000 brushing cycles.
