CALASEPT CHX 2% 100ml DIRECTA

Calasept CHX is a 2% chlorhexidine digluconate with excellent antimicrobial activity. Highly bactericidal, 2% CHX is effective against both Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria and is the only irrigant with a high efficacy rate against E. faecalis. Irrigate with Calasept CHX solution before filling a canal with root canal filling material. CHX is a highly reactive compound and will precipitate with both EDTA and NaOCl. Always rinse the canal with sterile water or saline before applying CHX to the canal.

Inhibitory capacity
It inhibits the growth of bacteria in root canals and dentinal tubules.

Final rinse
Calasept CHX is recommended for the final rinse of the root canal after the use of EDTA.
