The STEP 2.0 system is the evolution of the renowned Straight-Wire STEP treatment method, born over 10 years ago.
The STEP 2.0 system, thanks to the experience of Dr. Arturo Fortini and his collaborators, has become even more efficient and versatile, further facilitating orthodontic therapy.

Logical friction management is always possible thanks to the choice of using low-friction SLIDE ligatures and, alternatively or only on a group of teeth, conventional ligatures with the benefit of being able to use the most suitable biomechanics for both the therapeutic phase and the wire being used.
The innovative Bidimensional* arch and the elastic Tie Back, new in both design and material, allow for the application of a dosage-controlled traction force with perfect torque control of the anterior group, promoting posterior sliding.
Brackets with vertical slots for canines and premolars, with the same in-out values, allow for the use of springs and auxiliaries for greater biomechanical and anchorage control.
The STEP 2.0 prescription is completed by a renewed arch sequence optimized for each therapeutic phase.

ALIGNMENT AND LEVELING
MEMORIA® superelastic Nickel Titanium alloy arches ensure the release of light and constant forces. They are used with low-friction SLIDE ligatures.

SPACE CLOSURE
The innovative Bidimensional arch,* consisting of an anterior section in Beta MEMORIA® alloy, chosen between .019”x.025” and .021”x.027”, and a posterior part of .016”x.016” steel, is the ideal tool for achieving perfect torque control of the anterior group, promoting posterior sliding. Conventional ligatures are applied to the anterior teeth and SLIDE ligatures to the posterior sectors.

FULL TIP EXPRESSION
Australian arches are ideal for consolidating the first phase and fully expressing the angulation values present in the brackets. They are used with conventional ligatures.

FINISHING
The controlled elasticity characteristics of the Beta MEMORIA® alloy and the maximum dimensions allow for the full expression of the torque, tip, and in-out values of the STEP System 2.0 brackets. TORQUE CONTROL. The full-thickness MEMORIA® arch allows for the expression of third-order movements, stimulating the roots with light and constant force. To be used with conventional ligatures.
