Material
Copolymer of glycolic acid and lactic acid (Polyglactin 910). The polymerization process includes Dodecanol (alcohol family), which increases in vivo tensile strength by 25%.
Coating
Polyglactin 370 and calcium stearate, for excellent tissue passage and ideal knot-tying capability, even in restricted and deep fields.
In Vivo Tensile Strength
- 75% after 2 weeks
- 50% after 3 weeks (gauges 6/0 and larger)
- 37% after 3 weeks (gauges 7/0 and smaller)
Absorption
By hydrolysis: minimal up to day 40, complete between day 56 and day 70.
