Each label has a process indicator that changes color upon contact with saturated steam, visually signaling to the operator which instruments have already been placed in the autoclave.

The labels have double-sided adhesive backing: the operator can remove it from the bag at the end of the procedure and attach it to the patient's medical record. This allows for quick identification of the instruments used during the procedure, ensuring the patient that they were sterile, and protecting the dentist from potential legal implications.

The ink is non-toxic and steam-resistant.
