Negative Pressure Root Canal Irrigation and Activation System.

The Pac-Dent iVac™ irrigation system combines the synergistic effect of continuous negative pressure irrigation and ultrasonic activation in a single, easy-to-use device.

The iVac system was created using the three most important concepts established by endodontic research:

1. Ultrasonic vibration creates a chemical catalyst for irrigating solutions along with temporary cavitation and microstreaming effects, resulting in a chemical-mechanical cleaning action in difficult-to-access areas of the root canal.

2. Negative pressure , by which the irrigation fluid moves from the pulp chamber to the apical area without causing leakage of the irrigant fluid beyond the apical foramen.

3. The principle of continuous irrigation , according to which the volume of irrigator is continuously renewed. The constant exchange of irrigator produces ideal chemical activity.
