STERILE WATER DM 180 DE MARCO
Aliquota IVA applicata: 22%
Recent studies have shown that the water network of the building can be colonized by pathogenic microorganisms: overnight stagnation and poor maintenance of centralized decalcification systems favor the development of microorganisms and algae that cause the progressive formation of biofilm.
Legionella is one of the most dangerous microorganisms that develop in such environments. The problem of water contamination in dental practices can be solved with the UV Steril Water sterilizer which, thanks to the action of ultraviolet rays, eliminates bacteria (including legionella), viruses, spores, fungi and algae, effectively counteracting biofilm formation.
The water passes through a special Teflon tube where it is irradiated by a germicidal lamp with a low-pressure mercury vapor discharge. The ultraviolet light destroys all microorganisms while leaving the smell and taste of the water unchanged: a solution that does not require chemical additives or special maintenance.
Efficacy tests conducted at the Clinical Analysis Laboratory of the IRCCS Galeazzi in Milan confirm that Steril Water is able to eliminate 99.9% of microorganisms present in the water (including Legionella). Furthermore, its algicidal action prevents maintenance interventions due to blockage of the instrumentation conduits in the dental unit.
Steril Water must be installed according to the maximum water flow rate per minute to maximize its effectiveness. The DM 180 version features a stainless steel body with swivel fittings for 8 mm diameter tubing, a flow rate of 2 l/min, a 10 W low-pressure UV-C lamp, dimensions Ø 45 x 260 mm, complete with power supply, cable, and a waiting room plaque.
