ZIP operates passively to improve sliding mechanics during the initial leveling and alignment phases; while it operates actively in the subsequent treatment phases, allowing for more accurate control of torque and rotation. ZIP works passively up to arc thicknesses of 0.020”x 0.020” and actively from thicknesses of 0.016”x 0.022”.
