Leone's XCN implants represent one of the most advanced and clinically documented implant systems on the market. The combination of Morse taper connection, Platform Switching, and HRS surface ensures bone stability, microbiological seal, and optimal long-term integration.
Implant-Abutment Morse Taper Connection
The distinctive element of the XCN Leone system is the connection between the implant and the abutment, which combines two complementary geometries: a self-locking Morse taper (without a connecting screw) and an internal hexagon. This solution ensures:
- Elimination of micromovements
- Elimination of micro-gaps and perfect microbiological seal
- Possibility of subcrestal placement
- Very high resistance to masticatory load
Platform Switching
The Platform Switching geometry of the transmucosal section increases the height and volume of the mucosal tissue, protecting the underlying marginal bone. It promotes the long-term maintenance of peri-implant tissues, as demonstrated by long-term clinical studies.
HRS (High Rutile Surface)
Achieved through an exclusive sandblasting process, it ensures optimal surface roughness (max Ra ≈ 2.5 μm; Ra ≈ 1 μm in Narrow 2.9 implants). The passivation and decontamination cycle eliminates all organic and inorganic residues for maximum biocompatibility.
