Zipbond Universal achieves effective bonding between dentin and enamel with self-etch and total-etch techniques.
Total-etch is considered the best option for enamel-only preparations 2 . Zipbond Universal shows minimal fluctuation in bond strength when using the total-enamel etch technique, highlighting its ability to achieve predictable results with every use.
The heterogeneous nature of dentin and the variability of its mineral and water content can complicate bonding to dentin. Zipbond Universal's carefully selected chemistry overcomes these challenges to provide strong, reproducible bond points in self-etch and total-etch techniques.
Choose Zipbond Universal to achieve consistent adhesion, predictable clinical outcomes, and security at the interface between the patient's tooth and the restoration.

Varying surface moisture content of dentin can affect bond strength 2 . Zipbond Universal achieves similar bond strengths whether applied to moist or dry dentin, reducing the sensitivity of the product to technique.
Even in situations where the dentin has dried out excessively, Zipbond Universal will continue to form a hybrid layer, further reducing technique sensitivity.

Zipbond Universal achieves high bond strengths to composite, ceramic, porcelain, and metal substrates. Bond strength to indirect substrates is comparable, demonstrating reliable adhesion for these restorations. Use Zipbond Universal with confidence, along with your preferred indirect restorative material.

Zipbond Universal contains two adhesive monomers that work in harmony to provide a durable and strong bond. A proprietary combination of monomers, including MDP monomer, provides effective adhesion to enamel, dentin, and a variety of indirect substrates.
Adhesive monomers contain hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups. Hydrophilic monomers rapidly infiltrate the enamel and dentinal tubules. Effective wettability is achieved when the adhesive spreads homogeneously across the tooth surface, providing a complete seal of the dentinal tubules.

After polymerization, hydrophobic monomers reduce water permeability to create a solid interface and strong interaction between the tooth and the substrate.
The hybrid layer is the primary bonding mechanism of adhesive agents 1. The adhesive monomers within Zipbond Universal diffuse effectively and uniformly across the tooth surface, and hybridization is continuous throughout the prepared cavity. The dentinal tubules are completely sealed in both etching techniques, minimizing the risk of post-operative sensitivity for the patient.

The incorporation of nanofillers achieves controlled handling, optimal thickness, and increased bond strength. Zipbond Universal is easy to apply in a thin, homogeneous layer. Indirect restorations can be precisely positioned to achieve a seamless fit against the tooth.
The adhesive is visible upon placement and virtually invisible on the dentin after curing. It is ideal for use in aesthetic areas with translucent and white restorative materials.
Zipbond Universal has a delicate aroma to contribute to patient comfort during restorative procedures.
“The main factor in the premature failure of medium to large-sized composite restorations is secondary caries at the margins of the restorations.” 3 Zipbond Universal releases fluoride to protect the tooth-restoration interface from demineralization. An effective marginal seal that combats recurrent caries results in a more durable restoration.
