Tetric Prime Syringe 3gr Ivoclar Vivadent
Aliquota IVA applicata: 22%
Tetric® Prime is a photopolymerizable, radiopaque composite for direct restorative therapy. Tetric Prime polymerizes with light in the wavelength range of 400–500 nm.
Chemical composition
The monomeric matrix is composed of dimethacrylates (Bis-GMA, UDMA, Bis-EMA, D3MA) (20–21% by weight). The fillers are composed of barium glass, yttrium trifluoride, mixed oxide (SiO2/ZrO2) and prepolymer (79–80% by weight).
Additives, initiators, stabilizers, and pigments are also included (<1.0% by weight). The total content of inorganic fillers amounts to 76–77% by weight, corresponding to 54–56% by volume. The particle sizes of the inorganic fillers range from 40 nm to 3 μm.
Directions
- Restorations in deciduous teeth - Posterior fillings (class I and II) - Anterior fillings (class III, IV) - Class V fillings (cervical caries, root erosion, wedge-shaped defects) - Veneering of discolorations in the anterior sectors - Tooth splinting - Extended fissure sealing - Repair of composite/ceramic aesthetic veneers
Contraindications
Restorations with Tetric Prime material are contraindicated in cases of: – inability to obtain a dry operating field or to follow the prescribed application technique – known allergy to one of the components of Tetric Prime. Side effects In rare cases, some components of Tetric Prime may lead to sensitization. In such cases, avoid its use.
To rule out pulp irritation, treat areas near the pulp with suitable pulp/dentin protection (apply a preparation containing calcium hydroxide pointwise to areas near the pulp). Interactions: Substances based on eugenol or clove oil can inhibit the polymerization of composites. Therefore, avoid using such materials in combination with Tetric Prime. Discoloration may occur in contact with cationic mouthwashes, plaque disclosing agents, and chlorhexidine.
