Cortisomol SP 25gr Acteon

Powder for definitive root canal cementation.

Composition: Prednisolone acetate 1.1%. Diiodothymol. Zinc oxide. Barium sulfate. Excipients. Does not contain formaldehyde.

Properties: Prednisolone acetate is a steroid anti-inflammatory agent with good local and general tolerance. It helps prevent painful post-operative reactions resulting from mechanical canal treatment. Finally, Cortisomol SP is radiopaque, and its color allows for simplified localization of the canal entrances.

Indications: Powder for definitive root canal sealing.

Contraindications: Known allergies to corticosteroids and/or iodinated derivatives.

Precautions for use: In case of periapical infections, use Cortisomol SP under antibiotic cover. Check the length of the canals before obturation to avoid exceeding the apical area; the resulting paste is not resorbable. Prepare the paste immediately to avoid contamination. Do not fill the pulp chamber with Cortisomol SP to avoid any risk of dentin discoloration and apply an insulating cavity base.

Avoid using this product after pulpectomy of immature teeth. In case of accidental contact with skin, mucous membranes or eyes, rinse thoroughly with water.

Do not swallow.

Storage: Do not use after the expiry date shown on the outer packaging. Close the jar quickly and properly after use. Store at room temperature (< 25°C), away from moisture. Disposal: Do not dispose of in sewers or rivers. Do not dispose of in household waste. Professional product for dental use.
