4337 Komet Micro-Preparation Bur Set

The priority in conservative dentistry is to preserve natural tooth structure. This is why minimally invasive cavity preparation requires slender instruments with small working sections and thin necks, such as those found in the 4337 set developed by Dr. Stefan Neumeyer from Eschlkam.

Depending on the amount to be removed or the desired surface roughness, one can choose between standard grit instruments (Set 4337) and fine grit instruments (Set 4337F).

Small instruments (889M/838M/830RM) should be used for opening larger and deeper carious defects (Fig. 1), or for removing minimal caries on fissures (Fig. 2).

The constructive configuration of the 830M/953M/953AM instruments and the diamond coating of the neck allow for the creation of rounded surfaces with undercuts, especially when working on internal areas in the proximal region (Fig. 3).

For hard-to-reach areas or for pediatric dentistry, the 4337.313 Set with short shank FG instruments is recommended.

Speed: the recommended rotational speed is 160,000 rpm-1, preferably with a red band contra-angle, or 20,000 rpm-1 during the finishing phase.
