Spongious collagenated heterologous bone block produced using the exclusive Tecnoss® process, which prevents the ceramization of hydroxyapatite crystals, thus accelerating physiological resorption. Thanks to its rigid consistency, Sp-Block maintains the original graft volume over time - a fundamental characteristic in large-volume regenerations. The collagen content facilitates blood clotting and the invasion of regenerative and reparative cells, promoting the restitutio ad integrum of the missing bone.
Clinical indications
- Vertical regeneration of atrophic posterior mandibles (inlay technique): documented for bone increases up to 5 mm with 2 to 7-year follow-up
- Large volume regenerations: the rigidity of the block ensures stability and volume preservation over time
- Gaps around the block are filled with granular biomaterial; the area is stabilized with osteosynthesis plates and screws and protected with an Evolution membrane
Instructions for use
- Rehydrate for 5–10 minutes in sterile physiological saline solution before use
- Adapt to the accurately decorticated recipient site to ensure maximum contact
- Fix with osteosynthesis microscrews
- Protect with OsteoBiol Evolution resorbable membrane
