VALO Cordless uses a specialized multi-wavelength light-emitting diode (LED) to generate high-intensity light in the 395–480 nm spectrum, capable of polymerizing all light-curing dental materials. This intensity also transilluminates ceramics, enabling it to cure underlying resin cements as effectively as a high-quality halogen light. VALO Cordless uses VALO rechargeable batteries and a charger suitable for 100–240 volt outlets. The handpiece is designed to fit into the dental unit's delivery system; alternatively, it can be mounted anywhere using the included self-adhesive mount. It can also be kept on a countertop or in a drawer. VALO Cordless features a motion sensor; when not in use, VALO Cordless automatically enters sleep mode and reverts to the last-used setting when moved.
